In April 2003, the Resource Centre for the Arts was awarded a contribution of $26,600 by Canadian Heritage under their Canadian Arts and Heritage Sustainability Program. Together with $8,500 from the Federal and Provincial Government under the Comprehensive Economic Development Agreement [CEDA], the funding supported a project called "Building a Future." Its objective was to provide RCA with the resources to review and validate its mandate and to generate an action plan that would lead to achieving full fiscal sustainability over three years.
