Call for Submissions
RCA Visual is committed to the development, promotion and exhibition of contemporary Newfoundland and Canadian Art, with a focus on giving emerging artists the opportunity to have solo exhibitions.
The encouragement of critical dialogue between artists and community about issues in contemporary art and society.
The Resource Centre for the Arts Gallery committee reviews exhibition and performance proposals in relation to our mandate.
Exhibitions include:
- Group and solo artists
- Emerging to established artists
- Regional, and national artists
- Curated exhibitions
- 2D,3D and multi-media work
- Community oriented exhibitions
Current programming is being done 12-15 months in advance with proposals being reviewed in June and July of every year.
The next call for submissions will go out in March 2008.
Proposals should include:
Documentation: 10-20 numbered slides or CD of images (or for performance a VHS tape) of the work to be presented with a support material identification sheet, ie: list of titles, medium, dimensions dates and other information that may be relevant.
Artist statement: What your work is about an exact description of the work and your installation needs.
C.V.: Previous exhibitions, performances, educational, and relative experience.
