Amy House, Artistic Animateur

Amy House is an actor, playwright and comedian from Newfoundland with a performing history that spans thirty five years. Amy is presently the Artistic Animateur of the Resource Centre for the Arts (RCA) Theatre Company at the LSPU Hall in St. John’s. She is currently the Chair of the Association of Cultural Industries NL, the president of ACTRA NL, and she sits on many cultural committees including The Status of the Artist Committee NL, the Board of the Professional Association of Canadian Theatres (PACT), and the PACT Advocacy committee. Amy’s most recent undertaking is the Chair of the NL Culture Days Task Force.

Nicole Rousseau, Artistic Associate

Nicole is an actor and director from St. John’s, Newfoundland. She first started coming to The Hall when she was a teenager, when her and her friends came downtown for rock shows. Nicole has been Artistic Associate with RCA Theatre Company since 2008. She is a graduate of the acting program at Sir Wilfred Grenfell College and a past recipient of The Rhonda Payne award from The Newfoundland and Labrador Arts Council. Nicole is also active as a board member, educator and workshop facilitator, most recently co-teaching English 4401 (Producing the Play) at Memorial University of Newfoundland.

Kirsten Joy, Theatre Administrator

Kirsten Joy has always lived on island time. She grew up in Shetland and moved to Bonavista when she was four, but has called St. John’s home since she began university in 2003. After a long on-again/off-again relationship with MUN, she became the proud owner of a double major in English and Communications Studies with a Diploma in Professional Writing. Kirsten has worked as a freelance writer in the city since 2006, currently with Downhome magazine. A lifelong music fanatic, she was employed at St. John’s legendary independent record store Fred’s Records for three years before becoming the RCA Theatre Administrator in March 2011.
